The Area

This stunning and often forgotten corner of Scotland is well worth a visit. Not only are the views and scenery spectacular, especially from the viewpoints on the road into the village, but also the area is blessed with the Kyles of Bute. This stretch of water surrounds the Isle of Bute and Tighnabruaich lies on its shores.

There are so many attractions on offer for those visiting the area. The nearby beaches are safe for swimming and nearly deserted. Walking, golf, tennis, horse riding, and sailing are just many of the other outside activities to be taken advantage of, and the nearby towns of Rothesay, Dunoon, Inveraray, and Tarbert have other worthwhile visits such as castles, museums, and fishing harbours.

Eating out is easy and the many pubs, restaurants, bistros, cafes and hotels in the area all have fine fare on their menus.

There is always plenty to do and more information can be found at the links page. A boat trip adds a whole new perspective to the experience.
